FAQs
What is check in and check out time?

Arrival will be from 4pm on Friday 12th March. Relax,meet your other fellow guests, drink some tea and settle into your room and explore the beautiful Tilton House and its outdoor space
What’s included?

Two nights accommodation in twin bedded room Friday & Saturday night (if you wish to book a room to yourself in a double bed you can do so at an extra cost)

Seven yoga classes

Six meals - two breakfasts, two lunches and two dinners, all vegetarian
What is not included?

Journey cost to and from Tilton House

Wellness treatments, bookable directly with Tilton House
How do I book wellness treatments?

Bookings to be made a minimum of one week before Retreat

Payment in cash, cirectly with the therapist on the day (Tilton House/Therapist has the right to charge full cost for cancellation if less than a week before the Retreat

Bring a dressing gown and slippers so you are cosy getting from your room to the treatment room
Sauna

The sauna is free of charge
-
You will need to advise ahead of time of when you want to use it, eg at breakfast for afternoon use, and over lunch so it can be warmed and ready for use for the evening

Please bring a towel for use in the sauna

Pack a costume or bikini to wear

Bring a dressing gown and slippers to go to and from your room to the sauna
How do I get to Tilton House?

By train the nearest station is Lewes that is a a short taxi drive away from Tilton House

If you are planning to drive to the venue, there is plenty of space for parking

If you are driving, please see if you can buddy-up with another guest
Who is the weekend suitable for?

You don't need to be a yoga expert. All levels are welcome - just come with a passion to learn

It may be helpful if you have some experience of yoga. So, if you haven't already, try and get some practice before you come along. You will enjoy your weekend so much more that way

I run regular complete beginners courses live-online via Zoom - so if you wish to get the basics ahead of the Retreat, book onto one of my next courses so you get the maximum benefit out of your weekend (you can check my website, or email me to find out when the next courses are planned)
What to bring?

If you have and prefer to use your own mat, blocks, yoga straps, then please do bring them with you (otherwise mats, blocks and straps will be provided for you)

Bring a blanket or warm wrap for the Savasana relaxation or to snuggle up on the sofa to chat or read your book and/or sitting by the fire pit (weather permitting)

Bring your own toiletries, Tilton House try to be as environmentally kind as possible, so there are no plastic bottles to be found in the rooms

Towels for the bathroom will be provided, but if you want to make use of the sauna, please bring your own towel for this use

Water bottle to fill up - you can top your water bottle up from water that comes direct from a spring on the Downs
What to wear?

The surrounding area is ideal for walking, so do bring your walking boots/outdoor trainers or wellies and a wet weather/warm jacket for the optional walks across the Downs

Suitable walking clothing, jeans/walking trousers/shorts/warm top, depending upon the weather

Swimsuit or bikini for the sauna

Bring a dressing gown and slippers to keep cosy during your stay

Bring your yoga/exercise clothing

It is a casual weekend, so you can bring comfortable clothing for your stay
Can my dietary needs be catered for?

All meals will be vegetarian

If you have any specific dietary requirements, please let me know a minimum of one month prior to the Retreat (or at the point of booking if closer to the Retreat and we will do our best to accommodate)
Can I arrive early or leave later?

I'm afraid not, check in is from 4.00pm on Friday and departure 3.00pm latest on Sunday
Is there WIFI?

There is free WIFI available

We encourage you to be digital-detox free and leave your phone in your room. You can of course use your phone in private, so as not to disturb the other guests
Can I bring my own alcohol with me?

Our Retreat is an alcohol-free weekend. It's good to allow our bodies time to detox, so we ask our guests not to bring alcohol with them
